Plant fiber is a natural cellulose fiber, which is obtained from the seeds, fruits, stems and leaves of plants. Fibers obtained from plant bast such as flax, jute, apocynum venetum, etc.; Fiber obtained from plant leaves, such as sisal, banana, etc. The main chemical component of plant fiber is cellulose, so it is also called cellulose fiber.


Plant fiber includes seed fiber, phloem fiber, leaf fiber and fruit fiber.


Seed fiber: refers to the single-cell fiber grown from epidermal cells of some plant seeds. Such as cotton and kapok.


Phloem fiber: Single fiber or craft fiber obtained from phloem of some plants. Such as flax, ramie, jute and bamboo fiber.


Leaf fiber: It is a craft fiber obtained from the leaves or leaf sheaths of some plants. Such as sisal and banana.


Fruit fiber: Fiber obtained from the fruits of some plants. Such as coconut fiber.
